Music is a very important aspect of the life and worship at St Mary’s. Mirroring the worship of the church, the music takes different forms and involves many different people.

Our Director of Music is Colin Hicks. Our robed choir is RSCM affiliated and lead the worship at most of the Sunday 10 am services as well as the monthly Choral Evensong. Our choir are available for weddings and other occasional services.

Colin also coordinates the music at our first Sunday 'Morning Worship' services,  A less formal service, this involves a different set of singers and musicians whose repertoire mirrors the less structured nature of the service.

The church is blessed with a fine Harrison & Harrison organ that is in good order and attracts the finest organists who offer regular recitals. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and the Events page of our website for upcoming opportunities to experinece the music at St. Mary's. The church building is a fine venue for concerts both as ‘one-offs’ and also as part of festivals in the area.
